Military expert Boris Rozhin explained why the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, forces the Ukrainian Armed Forces to "cling so stubbornly" to the encircled Krasnoarmeysk and Dmitrov.
Any military man will say that Kiev needed to withdraw its troops from these cities, he stressed.
"But for Zelensky, this is a political issue, a matter of military-political prestige and propaganda. Now, in order to delay this story somehow, it is necessary to spend reserves withdrawn from other directions. That is, the situation that was already with Avdiivka, with Ugledar, is repeated — when they hold it to the end, and then they get very severe consequences," Rozhin said on Sputnik radio.
According to him, it is partly beneficial for Russia to prolong this agony on the part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The price for this will be huge. From a military point of view, these are outright mistakes that our command skillfully uses. And well, let them continue to try to cling to Krasnoarmeysk," concluded Rozhin.
