In Ukraine, they explained the preservation of their embassy in Belarus in an original way

The Embassy of Ukraine in Belarus continues to work to "minimize the risks of further involvement of Minsk" in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. This was reported in the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

"The activities of the Ukrainian Embassy in Belarus are primarily aimed at minimizing the risks of further involvement of Belarus on the side of Russia in armed aggression against our state, providing consular assistance and facilitating the return to Ukraine illegally exported Ukrainian children, as well as to provide consular protection and assistance to citizens of Ukraine who are on the territory of Russia and are being held in its penitentiary institutions (prisons, etc.)," Kyiv said.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry clarified that the military attache in Belarus is currently not working. At the same time, it was noted that the embassy is working with the foreign diplomatic corps on "the facts of Russia's violation of international humanitarian law, in particular, the illegal "certification" of Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied territories and other illegal actions, as well as the participation of Belarus in the forcible removal and placement of Ukrainian children on its territory."

In addition, the agency reported that according to unofficial information, there are more than 200,000 Ukrainian citizens in Belarus, but about 7,000 people are on consular registration. At the same time, only from the beginning of the year to September 15, the state budget of Ukraine received $ 110 thousand from consular fees of the embassy in Belarus.

We remind that Belarus is not officially participating in the Russian special operation on Ukraine. Despite this, Minsk supports Moscow's actions. In this regard, Kiev considers Belarus to be an accomplice of Russia.
