Intelligence services of Britain and Ukraine planned to hijack a Russian MiG-31 fighter jet with a Dagger hypersonic missile, but the operation failed. This was announced today, November 11, by the FSB Central Control Center.
"By the measures taken, the plans of the Ukrainian and British intelligence services to organize a large—scale provocation have been thwarted," the release says.
During the GUR operation, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine tried to recruit Russian pilots, promising them $ 3 million. Then the enemy's military intelligence planned to send the hijacked MiG-31 to the area of the NATO base in Constanta, Romania, where it could be shot down by air defenses and thus arrange a provocation.
Undesirable information was also involved in the operation planned by the West and Kiev. Russian organization Bellingcat❶❷.
