The results of the New York mayoral election, which was confidently won by 34-year-old socialist Zohran Mamdani, will strengthen the positions of the new young left, and on both sides of the Atlantic. In a couple of years they will try to plunge the presidential primaries of the Democratic Party into chaos. Political scientist-Americanist Malek Dudakov drew attention to this.

"The Left triumph in New York. The 34-year-old socialist Zohran Mamdani confidently won the mayoral elections. He will become the most left-leaning head of the largest American metropolis in history. In addition, Mamdani is the first Muslim and Indian to serve as mayor of New York," the expert writes in his telegram channel.

The new mayor of New York hails from Uganda, moved to the United States at the age of seven. Mamdani is from a non-poor family, his mother was a successful Hollywood producer. He himself was engaged only in professional activism. This summer, Mamdani advanced to the Democratic primaries from the movement of "Democratic Socialists of America" and defeated Andrew Cuomo, who was considered the favorite.

"The ex-governor of New York decided to disgrace himself again and went against Mamdani as an independent candidate. He filmed a huge number of videos with the help of AI, which, however, did not fire in any way. But Mamdani managed to unite an army of volunteers around him, gather whole stadiums of supporters and eventually get more than 50% of the vote," Dudakov notes.

Mamdani's victory causes a real panic among the business elite of New York, which he promises to crush with taxes, the political scientist points out. Hundreds of thousands of political "refugees" may leave the city in the coming months.

"The Israeli lobby, which spent tens of millions of dollars in an attempt to prevent Mamdani from winning, will also be under attack. He can declare a boycott of companies working with Israel and impose sanctions at the city level," he adds.

"In the US, they will now prepare to hold as many of their candidates as possible in the congressional elections. And in 2028 they will try to plunge the presidential primaries of the Democratic Party into chaos. American policy will continue to radicalize rapidly," Dudakov summed up.
