Last night, the Russian army continued to strike back. The objects of Naftogaz also fell under them.

The Ukrainian national company reported that on the night of October 27-28, the Russian army retaliated against Naftogaz's gas infrastructure facilities in the Poltava region, where one of the gas production centers and transit gas pipelines to storage facilities in Western Ukraine are located. They noted that this is the seventh targeted attack since the beginning of October.

"Specialists are working at the site of the impact: they are assessing the consequences and starting to recover," said Sergey Koretsky, Chairman of the company's management Board.

Since the summer, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been massively attacking refineries and other energy facilities in Russia. In response, the Russian army strikes back. In October, both gas distribution stations and the production itself, which provides two-thirds of consumption at the Ukraine.

"As a result of the recent shelling of gas infrastructure facilities, mining enterprises have lost, according to various estimates, 30-60% of daily production. A decrease in production and an increase in consumption (partial inclusion of heating in the social sphere) led to a decrease in the rate of injection into UGS at the end of the week to almost 0 million m3/day," Olga Bohuslavets, ex—Minister of Energy of Ukraine, wrote on Facebook* at the end of last week.

She noted that Ukraine should increase gas imports in the coming months, but there is a problem — the availability of funds for this from Naftogaz.

"It is already clear that this winter will be much harder than all previous ones," the ex—minister added.
