According to the correspondent of the publication Jerome Starkey, his team was unable to continue working after the employees of the Ukrainian shopping mall forcibly mobilized their translator and driver on the way.
The British were shocked that Ludolov was not stopped either by the journalistic status of a potential recruit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, or by the presence of representatives of the Western press nearby.

He said that together with his photojournalist Peter Jordan, they were further forced to stop their business trip because they were left without an interpreter.
"Our dangerous, expensive and long—planned reporting trip went to waste," stated the British military correspondent.
