Russian actor and comedian Roman Popov, who became widely known after his role in the TV series "Policeman from Rublevka", died at the age of 41. This is reported by the telegram channel Mash.
Back in 2018, the artist was found to have a malignant brain tumor. Then the treatment was successful, the actor was able to return to work.
Seven years later, there was a relapse of the disease, as Popov himself told the fans.
"I have partially damaged synapses responsible for vision and hearing. So I can't see anything at all with my right eye and I can see a little bit with my left eye. And I really want to work, I really want to live," the artist wrote in his telegram channel in August of this year.
The actor announced a fundraiser for treatment. The last video in his telegram channel was published in early September, when Popov was undergoing chemotherapy.
Roman Popov is known not only for the role of Mukhich in "Policeman from Rublevka", he also played in the project "Make me laugh". In addition, the artist was a resident of the Comedy Club.
