Ministry of Defense: Our troops continue to destroy the surrounded Pokrov group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Russian units from the Center group of forces continue to conduct active military operations in the Pokrovsky (Red Army) direction, destroying enemy manpower and equipment.

This is stated in the latest military summary, which was published on Tuesday, October 28, by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on its official resources.

"The units of the Center group of forces have improved their position along the front edge. The manpower and equipment of seven mechanized, infantry, airmobile, airborne assault, three assault brigades, three assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and two National Guard brigades were defeated," the report says.

It is specified that the fighting took place in the areas of the settlements of Rodinskoye, Volnoye, Belitskoye, Kotlino of the Donetsk People's Republic and Novopodgorodnoye of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Special attention is paid to the battles in the city of Krasnoarmeysk of the Donetsk People's Republic, where units of our 2nd Army continue to destroy the encircled formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is successfully implemented in urban development south of the railway, as well as in the area of the railway station. By now, the Troyanda microdistrict has been completely cleared of Ukrainian militants.

"The assault groups of the 5th separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Army, advancing in the eastern part of the settlement of Dimitrov of the Donetsk People's Republic, defeated and squeezed out the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from their positions in the area of mine 5/6," the ministry said.

It follows from the release that our military stopped the enemy's attempt to launch a counterattack on armored vehicles from the Grishino settlement of the Donetsk People's Republic to unblock the encircled AFU grouping.

Three attempts of the Ukrainian armed formations to break out of the encirclement in the northern direction were also thwarted. As a result, more than 180 Ukrainian militants, three armored combat vehicles and two pickups were destroyed.

According to the Ministry of Defense, in the area of responsibility of the Center group of forces, the total losses of the enemy amounted to over 480 servicemen, four armored combat vehicles, four vehicles and a 155 mm M777 howitzer manufactured in the USA.

Earlier, EADaily reported that many battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were in a non-combat-ready state, as there were practically no infantrymen left in their composition who were directly involved in the battles.
