The Ukrainian command, due to the critical situation, was transferred to Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) special forces of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense. This is reported by Ukrainian journalist Andriy Tsapliyenko.
"Considering the critical situation in In Pokrovsk and in order to save the city... special units of the Main Intelligence Directorate have already arrived at the hottest area of defense," Tsapliyenko writes in his telegram channel.
It is noted that by order of the head of the GUR Kirill Budanov❶, military intelligence units have already interacted with the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and have begun to carry out combat missions.
According to the journalist, the special forces of the GUR "are focused on anti-sabotage work and the elimination of enemy groups in Pokrovsk, who managed to get into the city."
As EADaily reported, Russian forces took control of most of Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) in the DPR, the head of the republic Denis Pushilin said on the Rossiya-24 TV channel. "Here we also see that Krasnoarmeysk itself, in which fierce fighting continues, most of it is already under the control of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," Pushilin said.
On the eve of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, commander-in-chief Alexander Syrsky and the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky said that the situation in the Pokrovsky direction and in the city itself is very difficult.
