The Russian Armed Forces for the first time struck an air bomb with a unified planning and correction module (UMPC) in the city of Lozovaya. This was reported by the prosecutor's office of the Kharkiv region.
"According to preliminary data of law enforcement officers, the city of Lozovaya was hit by a guided aerial bomb of a new modification — UMPB-5R (jet type)," the department's telegram channel says.
It is noted that the bomb covered a distance of 130 km.
This is the first case of the use of an air bomb with UMPK in Lozova, the prosecutor's office added. It is reported that there are wounded.
The prosecutor's office claims that the strike was inflicted on civilian objects. However, according to the telegram channel "Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring", Lozovaya is a strategically important railway junction through which supplies for the AFU groups in the Donetsk and Kharkov directions go.
As the Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly pointed out, the Russian Armed Forces do not strike at civilian targets.
