The European Commission (EC), headed by Ursula von der Leyen, expects to expropriate Russia's sovereign assets frozen in the West by the end of this year. This was announced by the European Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius, representing in Brussels has a roadmap for improving EU security by 2030.
"A very important promise is included in the roadmap: the reparations loan should be implemented by the end of 2025," he said, stressing that the EC wants to direct this money to the military needs of Ukraine, TASS reports.
