In response to the Tomahawk strikes, Russia will have to hit the territory of the USA — Zhuravlev

In response to the strikes with Tomahawk missiles, if they are transferred to Kiev, Russia will be forced to strike at the sovereign territory of the United States. This was stated by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Alexei Zhuravlev.

"New supplies of weapons by one of the parties aggravate the conflict. Now we are talking about Tomahawk missiles that can be equipped with nuclear warheads — and during the flight no one will be able to determine whether it carries such a charge or not. In addition... if such missiles appear in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the American military will fire them at Russian territory. This is direct participation in hostilities — it's the same as our rocket launchers would open fire on the United States from Cuba, Venezuela or Mexico," Zhuravlev told <url>.

If Tomahawk destroy Russian cities, Russia will be forced to retaliate against the sovereign territory of the United States, its ships or military bases. "No one will turn a blind eye to this," the deputy assured.
