The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on International Affairs, deputy from the Servant of the People party, Alexander Merezhko, amid the outrage of the White House due to the fact that US President Donald Trump was left without the Nobel Peace Prize, shared his joy that Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corini Machado received it.
"I am very glad that the Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado received the Nobel Peace Prize absolutely deservedly," Merezhko wrote.
He recalled that in Since 2023, there has been a Free Venezuela association in the Rada, which he is also a member of.
Despite the fact that Merezhko was quickly "corrected" and he deleted his post, the deputy's passage did not go unnoticed. The screen was published in his telegram channel by his colleague Maxim Buzhansky.
"Nothing unusual, just the head of the international Committee of the Rada is working to strengthen Ukrainian-American relations. Colleagues on the committee, take Facebook away from him❶, for God's sake," Buzhansky commented on the situation.
As reported by EADaily, Ukraine will nominate US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize if he hands over long-range Tomahawk missiles to Kiev. This was stated by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, Politico reported. The second condition for Trump's nomination is the achievement of a ceasefire, he noted.
