The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on International Affairs, deputy from the Servant of the People party, Alexander Merezhko, amid the outrage of the White House due to the fact that US President Donald Trump was left without the Nobel Peace Prize, shared his joy that Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corini Machado received it.

"I am very glad that the Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado received the Nobel Peace Prize absolutely deservedly," Merezhko wrote.

He recalled that in Since 2023, there has been a Free Venezuela association in the Rada, which he is also a member of.
