The chairman of the ANO movement, which won the parliamentary elections in the Czech Republic, Andrei Babish, had a telephone conversation with Vladimir Zelensky. This is reported by the Czech media.
It is reported that Babish expressed support for Ukraine and wished a speedy end to hostilities.
"We have met three times before, the last time in November 2019 in Kiev. I am glad that he contacted me and described the current situation... I expressed our support and wish for a speedy end to the war. We also agreed that if everything goes well, next year I will personally visit Ukraine and we will discuss everything on the spot," Babish wrote on his page on one of their social networks.
Earlier, Babish said that if the ANO movement participates in the government, there will be no direct financing of weapons for Ukraine from the Czech budget. According to him, Prague helps Kiev through the European Union, and Czech arms factories can easily export products to Ukraine.
