In the near future, Russia plans to launch visa-free regimes with China, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia. This is stated in the information note for the media for the strategic session "Development of tourism in the Russian Federation", which was held on Tuesday by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The document also states that by 2030 it is planned to increase the number of inbound tourist trips by 11 million to 16 million.
As EADaily reported, since September 15, China has introduced a trial 30-day visa-free regime for Russians for a year. And on September 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia would respond in a similar way to the friendly decision of the Chinese authorities to introduce a visa-free regime for Russians.
In July, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the agreement on visa-free travel with Saudi Arabia is in the final stages of preparation. The cancellation of visas for Malaysian citizens became known in March.
