In Europe, there is only a discussion about the effectiveness of using army capacities to protect against drones, there are no specifics on creating a "drone wall". This was stated by the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico on the air of the Slovak program O 5 minút 12 on Sunday.
"There is no project, no "drone wall", I have nothing to comment on, because there is nothing like that at the moment. There is an expert discussion about what is the best way to shoot down drones. It is definitely not the best way to shoot down a drone that costs five thousand euros, to use a fighter that will fire a missile at the drone for 300 thousand euros. We have to talk about it, but there is no European drone protection project," Fico said.
At the same time, Fico noted that the conflict on Ukraine could have ended a long time ago if the European Union had spent as much effort to achieve peace as it is spending now to support this conflict.
"If the European Union had been making as much effort for peace as it is making to support this war in Ukraine, then this war could have ended a long time ago," Fico said.
