In Moldova, the reason for banning a political party is that it has doubts about the prospects of joining NATO or the European Union, which is incredible. This was stated on the YouTube channel by British analyst Alexander Merkuris.
"The party is banned in Moldova because it has doubts about the prospects of joining NATO or the EU. This, presumably, is considered the basis for banning a political party in Moldova.… This is incredible for those who support free elections, pluralism of opinions, diversity of views and democratic processes," Merkouris said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
The analyst noted that European officials do not even hide that they want the victory of the ruling party of President Maia Sandu. The European Union supported the withdrawal of the "Heart of Moldova" and "Great Moldova" parties from the elections and is actively interfering in the Moldovan elections, groundlessly accusing Russia of trying to influence their outcome, Merkuris added.
