A well-known football player in Poland was killed during military exercises near Ukraine

In Poland, during military exercises, a soldier of the Territorial Defense Forces, a former football player, 34-year-old Grzegorz Stec, was killed.

The incident occurred in Subcarpathian voivodeship bordering Ukraine. A graduate of the Rendzinyanka Voyashowka football club, Grzegorz Stes served in the 4th Nursery Company of the 33rd Light Infantry Battalion.

"It was with deep sorrow that we learned about the death of a soldier of the 3rd Subcarpathian Territorial Defense Brigade. We share his grief and express our sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. We will honor his memory," the Polish Territorial Defense Forces said.

According to the Yaslo.info portal, a 34-year-old Pole felt unwell at night and was taken to a specialized hospital, where, despite the efforts of doctors, it was not possible to save the soldier's life.

"Death is not related to the teachings. Both the military and the police are investigating the incident," the publication clarifies.
