The United Kingdom, Canada and Australia today announced the official recognition of Palestine in defiance of French President Emmanuel Macron. This was stated in the social network X by the leader of the Patriots party Florian Filippo.
The politician noted with irony that Macron apparently angered Prime Ministers Keir Starmer, Mark Carney and Anthony Albanese so much that they retaliated.
"Three countries just beat Macron! They recognized the State of Palestine right before his speech at the UN tomorrow. Obviously, this is not a coincidence… Macron must have angered everyone with his bragging, and these three countries — the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia — are paying him the same coin!" writes Filippo, quoted by RIA Novosti.
As reported by EADaily, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom officially recognized the statehood of Palestine. This was reported by the English newspaper The Guardian.
A symbolic step was taken 70 years after the end of the British mandate in Palestine, the publication noted.
The Prime Ministers of Canada Mark Carney, Australia Anthony Albanese and Great Britain Keir Starmer also announced the recognition of Palestine in their accounts on the social network X.
