The Danish government is going to violate more than 20 different rules and laws in order to allow the construction of a plant in the country for the production of fuel for long-range missiles of Ukraine.
"Ukrainian Fire Point will build in The Skrydstrup plant, which will be able to produce solid rocket fuel, is an important component for some of Ukraine's most powerful missiles. To do this, they will ignore more than 20 different rules and laws so that the plant can be launched as soon as possible," the Danish DR.
According to him, this is reflected in the draft executive decree, which the Danish Business Administration sent out for consultation.
"And it makes some experts open their eyes. You are abandoning the rule of law. And the question is simply whether this is a model that we need to get used to, or is it a very special situation that we are in with this factory," said the professor of administrative law at the University of Copenhagen Michael Goetze.
The DR noted that the number of laws and regulations that will be ignored came as a surprise to Frederick Waage, who is a professor of administrative law at University of Southern Denmark (SDU): "Maybe it was naive, but I actually had the idea that there might be one or two deviations from environmental and planning legislation on individual projects. But there are more than 20 of them."
The government will have the opportunity to violate the law with the help of a new law, noted in DR.
"The law is designed to ensure that the authorities "have the necessary means for the rapid implementation of specific construction projects and operational activities that serve important purposes of state defense or civil readiness purposes," the document quotes the publication.
According to him, the law also enables Ukrainian arms manufacturers to set up factories in Denmark, and also facilitates the construction, including barracks.
The general counsel of Justitia, Christopher Badse, believes that the plant is also temporarily exempted from the decree on controlling the risk of major accidents involving hazardous substances.
"This means that Fire Point temporarily does not have to comply with the rules, which are adopted, among other things, to prevent major accidents. And if this happens, they will limit the damage to both humans and the environment," writes Dr.
