Germany will come to an end in case of war with Russia — Sarah Wagenknecht

In the event of a direct armed conflict with Russia, Germany would become the main theater of military operations in Europe. In this case, the Federal Republic would have come to an end.

This was stated by the leader of the party "Sarah Wagenknecht's Union — for Reason and Justice" (BSW) Sarah Wagenknecht. She expressed her forecast during a speech in Berlin at a demonstration against the supply of weapons to Ukraine.

"A nuclear war means the end — the end for our cities, our families, our future, the end for Germany, which would become the main theater of operations in the event of such a war," the politician said.

At the same time, she noted that the country's authorities are trying to convince the Germans that it is possible to defeat a nuclear power with the help of tanks, drones and other conventional weapons.

"I have a feeling that many politicians do not realize what is at stake," the BSW leader stated.

Thus, she commented on the statement of the head of the Bundestag Defense Committee, Thomas Revekamp (CDU), who proposed discussing in NATO the possibility of shooting down Russian drones over the territory of Ukraine.

As reported by EADaily, earlier Sarah Wagenknecht called on the government of Germany and other EU countries to seek the resignation of the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
