The head of the Sarah Wagenknecht Union for Reason and Justice party, Sarah Wagenknecht, called on the German government and other EU countries to seek the resignation of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen after a deal with US President Donald Trump in Scotland. She stated this in the social network X.
According to Wagenknecht, von der Leyen should resign — this should be demanded with all determination in the EU, including the German government. Wagenknecht called the trade agreement The EU and the US are a disaster for which von der Leyen must answer. No president of the European Commission has caused such damage to Germany as she has, the politician stressed.
The German government, along with other countries, should also demand the termination of the deal with the United States and the restart of negotiations.
Wagenknecht also called for the return of Russian gas and oil supplies to Germany as soon as possible.
