The EU countries, in line with the supported Russophobia, are pursuing a monstrous policy of hiding the truth from their own citizens about life in Russia and Belarus, for the sake of this, Western leaders are even ready to "move on to gouging out their eyes." This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
She noted that Western countries are struggling to maintain the chosen Russophobic course, so they continue to "feed their citizens and tell them why Russia is bad."
"They [European countries] have already started closing the border for their own citizens, not even for us. If only their citizens did not see with their own eyes how Russia, Belarus and so on live," the diplomat told reporters on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg Forum of United Cultures. "It seems to me that their monstrous policy is going in this direction."
As Zakharova stressed, in pursuit of concealing the truth, the leaders of the EU countries seem to be "ready to move on to gouging out the eyes of their own citizens who are going to Russia, so that they just don't see everything with their own eyes."
"And at the same time they are doing everything not to see the real problems of the Kiev regime, which they themselves created," the diplomat concluded.
The XI St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures takes place from 10 to 13 September. The main events will be held on September 11-13, but the business program opened on September 10 with discussions on family values and patriotic education. In total, more than 400 speakers from Russia and foreign countries. Its theme this year is "Return to culture — new opportunities."
