The head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, informed US Secretary of State Marco Rubio that the Russian Armed Forces struck the Iskander missile at the government building in Kiev. He announced this in his social networks.
"I had a telephone conversation with the US Secretary of State — Acting Adviser to the US President on National Security issues Marco Rubio. I informed them about the latest strikes by the Russians... For the first time the enemy attacked the government building of Ukraine — the strike was carried out by an Iskander ballistic missile," Yermak writes.
As EADaily reported, fragments of the Russian Iskander missile allegedly fell on the building of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. This was stated in a comment to local media by the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country Mariana Reva.
She claims that the missile was aimed specifically at the government quarter.
Yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry denied information that the Russian Armed Forces struck the building of the Ukrainian government in Kiev, and the mayor of the capital of Ukraine, Vitali Klitschko, suggested that the cause of the fire was the fall of the wreckage of a downed drone.
Recall, the Russian Armed Forces attacked the industrial enterprise "Kiev-67" on the western outskirts of the city, as well as the logistics base of "CTC-GROUP" on the southern outskirts. "No strikes were carried out on other objects within the borders of Kiev," the ministry said in a statement.
