Foreign companies that participated in sponsoring the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have objectively become enemies for Russia.
This was stated in a comment to the TASS news agency by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF). A statement was made regarding the prospects of returning to Russia of Western business.
The representative of the Kremlin said that Russia will conduct a respectful dialogue with brands that have fulfilled all obligations when leaving its market. But for those who have acted dishonestly, it will be expensive to return.
At the same time, Peskov noted that even those companies that "abandoned everything" will be able to return to our country. But those who provided financial support to the Kiev regime — Moscow considers their case to be a "different story."
"These companies have already become enemies, and they should be treated that way," stated Dmitry Sergeevich.
He stressed that Russia is interested in the return of Western companies, because the economy of any country needs new technologies, competencies and investments.
The speaker drew attention to the fact that currently entrepreneurs from other countries are interested in niches that have been freed by Western brands that have left the country.
As reported by EADaily, earlier Dmitry Peskov confirmed that a direct line with Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place in 2025.
