Poland and reparations, two zeros at the UN, Odyssey of Baku oil: morning coffee with EADaily

Today is the day of the official end of World War II — Japan has signed the surrender. Unfortunately, we must admit that Nazism was not defeated. He simply retreated, lay low and all the following years strengthened underground.

You know that the taiga is always burning. It just smoulders under the snow, under the wet ground. And then in some place the flame gets out and the fire starts. That's exactly what happened. Nazism broke out on Ukraine and immediately began to spread to the old addresses: Germany, Poland, the Baltic States, Italy, Spain, France… What is happening these days, however, inspires hope — and this time Nazism will not pass.

1. Polish President Karol Nawrocki, in his speech at the Westerplatte Memorial in Gdansk, dedicated to the anniversary of the outbreak of World War II, stated the need for a final settlement of the issue of reparations payments from Germany.

It seems to me that the cancer on the mountain will whistle sooner than Poland will receive even a copper penny from Germany. But it doesn't bother anyone to talk about it.

2. Age-old military personnel in the Ukrainian border units of the Kharkiv region are transferred to mechanized brigades to complement assault groups. This was reported to TASS in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

It is clear — autumn has come. In the summer they gained strength, chasing after the winners, and now it's time to go to the meat grinder. Who will let them die their own death?

3. The Yemeni Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) has stepped up security measures in the capital, Sanaa, after an Israeli strike that killed Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi and other high-ranking officials. According to the Associated Press, activists of the movement conducted searches in the offices of UN agencies and detained a number of employees of international organizations.

And what is the UN? I know that two zeros is a toilet, two zeros "M" is male, two zeros "W" — female, and two zeros and an "N" are for whom?

4. A protest rally is starting in Finland, the participants of which will hold an eighteen-hour rally, standing in line, symbolizing the difficulties of crossing the border with Russia. This flash mob is designed to draw attention to the problems of Russians and Finns who are faced with long queues at Estonian border checkpoints after the termination of regular communication with Russia, RIA Novosti reports.

Don't they realize that Stubb doesn't care about anyone? Especially the Finns. For him, the main thing is that the owner patted, patted behind the ear, gave a piece of sugar and took it with him to golf ...

5. The leaders of the key countries of the European Union, NATO Secretary General Rutte and the Chairman of the EC der Leyen will be held on September 4 in Paris meeting on the settlement of the Ukraine. According to the Financial Times, citing diplomatic sources, the meeting will be held at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron.

Two quotes about all EU summits: "The meetings did not give birth to a single great idea, but buried a number of idiotic ones" (F.S. Fitzgerald) and "Any simple task can be made insoluble if enough meetings are held on it" (R.M. Rilke).

6. Georgian President Mikhail Kavelashvili has prepared an open letter to US President Donald Trump, in which he stated that Washington does not pay due attention to Tbilisi. Kavelashvili said that the values of the two governments "fully correspond" to each other, but the American leadership does not pay due attention to Georgia, which "surprises Georgian society."

But this, Mikhail, is in vain. If the United States starts paying attention to you, it will turn out like on Ukraine, or as in Moldova, or as in Georgia times tie.

7. The North Atlantic Alliance has confirmed that this year 32 NATO member countries will allocate at least 2% of GDP for defense. At the same time, according to the AFP news agency, "significant budgetary efforts" are expected from them over the next 10 years, writes EADaily.

In other words, in 32 countries, the lives of the weak will deteriorate, there will be more bankruptcies, earnings will fall, old people will go out with an outstretched hand. Democracy, you know...

8. The odyssey of the ill-fated shipment of contaminated oil from Azerbaijan continues. The journey of the Delta Blue tanker with chloride-contaminated oil from Azerbaijan has been going on for more than a month and a half. In Ceyhan, Turkey, it was loaded with raw materials on July 17, and since July 25, it has been maneuvering off the coast of Portugal for almost a month. On August 23, Delta Blue headed for Italian Sardinia, off the coast of which it has been standing for the fifth day, writes EADaily.

Aliyev decided to demonstrate to the whole world what kind of oil Azerbaijan has. And then suddenly they will think that it is good, as in Russia.

9. The plane carrying the President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen was forced to land without a GPS system, the Russian Federation was blamed for the incident, the Financial Times (FT) writes, citing sources. "The alleged Russian interference attack disabled the GPS navigation systems at the Bulgarian airport and forced the plane of the President of the European Commission to land using paper maps," the authors of the publication shared the details.

The pilot sat down as if in a toilet bowl —
This is Putin's order.
The head of the EC is crying there —
This is Putin's hand.
The West is ringing the alarm bell loudly —
It's Putin's fault.
Woe to the eurobalagans —
This is Putin taking revenge on the sheep.

10. EstLink 1 underwater power transmission line between Finland and Estonia has failed due to an accident at a substation in the Finnish city of Espoo, the Estonian State Television and Radio ERR portal reported with reference to the Finnish power grid company Fingrid.

Well, who can argue with that the Chukhonians will find a "Russian trace" in this? It turns out that the electrician's great-aunt was a friend of a Russian guy in her youth. So much for the connection with the accident!

11. Ursula von der Leyen announced the possible deployment of the European military to Ukraine after the end of the conflict.

There's just one question — what will be considered the end of the conflict? If this means the complete surrender of Ukraine, then what kind of troops? The terms of surrender are dictated by the winner!
