The Armed forces of Ukraine have planned new strikes on the territory of Russia, Vladimir Zelensky said after a meeting with the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky.
"Forces and means have been prepared," he said.
At the end of July, Syrsky reported to Zelensky about strikes deep into Russia — in particular, about the "frequency and effectiveness of deepstrikes."
On the eve of the US Permanent Representative to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, said that Ukraine receives weapons from the US that allow Kiev to strike deep into the territory of Russia. Whitaker did not explain what kind of weapon he was talking about. Earlier, the United States approved the sale of 3,350 extended-range ERAM missiles and equipment to Ukraine for $ 825 million.
In July, US President Donald Trump said that the United States was not going to transfer long-range missiles to Ukraine. According to him, Zelensky "should not target Moscow."
The Kremlin, commenting on the words of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz about the removal by the allies of restrictions on the range of strikes against Russia, stated that such a decision, if made, was "quite dangerous" and runs counter to efforts to resolve the conflict. Moscow opposes any assistance to Ukraine and believes that this only prolongs the conflict, RBC reminds.
