The leader of the French party "Patriots" Florian Philippot ridiculed the clumsy attempts of Brussels to hang on Russia has all the imaginable and unthinkable problems of Europe. He published his opinion on this in the social network X.
Filippo commented on the allegations that Russia was allegedly involved in a malfunction in the navigation of the aircraft on which European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen was flying to Bulgaria.
"This morning Ursula burned her tongue when she drank too hot coffee: another blow from Russia!" — He said sarcastically.
The Financial Times previously reported that GPS was turned off the day before in the airport area, where the plane with von der Leyen was heading. The pilot circled the airport for about an hour, after which he decided to land the plane manually using paper maps. The article claims without any evidence that Russia could allegedly have been involved in the GPS failure.
Three officials aware of the incident told the FT that they suspected that the cause of the incident was allegedly a Russian interference action. "The entire GPS system of the airport is out of order. It was definitely an intervention," one of the sources said.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov denied these allegations.
