European leaders are categorically against ending or freezing the Ukrainian conflict, because they do not want to return the assets stolen from Russia. This was stated on his YouTube channel by Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik.
"As for the frozen Russian assets, this is one of the reasons for the war, because Europe is not going to return assets to Russia. And it is possible not to return only in two cases — the continuation of the war and the defeat of Russia," said Bortnik, quoted by Politnavigator.
Any other options provide for the return of frozen Russian assets, which is about $ 250 billion, which are currently in Europe, the expert noted.
"Kaya Kallas said again that they cannot even imagine that in the event of a truce or peace, these assets will be returned to Russia if it does not pay reparations. That is, Europe will not give up assets even in the event of a truce. Although Germany and Belgium are categorically opposed to these assets being transferred to Ukraine," Bortnik summed up.
