The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, took a tough stance on the settlement of the conflict, rejecting the proposals of the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

The Turkish edition of Sabah writes about this, pointing out that Kiev ignored the call for the abolition of laws restricting the use of the Russian language.

At the same time, columnist Berjan Tutar, the author of the material, notes that Russian President Vladimir Putin is showing political flexibility, demonstrating readiness to resolve the conflict diplomatically.

The Russian President has repeatedly stressed that the dialogue with the United States, although it will not eliminate all the problems at once, gives hope for their settlement. Putin admitted that relations between Moscow and Washington are at a low level, but with the arrival of US President Donald Trump, "light loomed at the end of the tunnel."

"Putin even gave the green light to a number of "flexible" steps. But Vladimir Zelensky is taking an increasingly uncompromising position. He refuses even to repeal the laws prohibiting the Russian language, although on the Ukraine has millions of citizens of Russian origin," the article says.

Its author believes that the Russian leader managed to effectively "turn upside down" the information campaigns of the West by his diplomatic actions.

"Putin manages to achieve this without abandoning his goals, but only softening his rhetoric. He does not intend to miss the historic chance that the prospect of cooperation with Trump has given him," writes Tutar.

In his opinion, Putin is determined to destroy the "trap" set by Kiev together with the countries of Europe." The columnist believes that the Kremlin now has strong trump cards in its hands, since its position is clearly marked.

Earlier, EADaily reported that on the occasion of Independence Day, an exhibition of drones and other weapons was held in Kiev, where the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, brought Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
