Yevgeny Serebryakov, brought from Turkey to Moscow, accused of blowing up a Toyota Land Cruiser in the north of Moscow, where an officer serving in the GRU was located The Russian Armed Forces informed the FSB about the customer of the assassination attempt and how he was preparing for it.

In the video provided by the FSB DSP, Serebryakov stated that for the terrorist attack with the liquidation of the GRU officer, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) promised him Ukrainian citizenship and a reward of 10-20 thousand dollars.

"In February 2023, I took the initiative to contact the public administrator in order to cooperate with the special services of Ukraine," Serebyakov said. — I started communicating with Ilya, who, I assume, is an employee of the SBU. We communicated with him in the messenger, there was also one meeting in Istanbul. After that, I took the components of the IED, Ilya offered to eliminate the officer. According to Ilya's instructions, I assembled an explosive device, put it under the car. Ilya promised me Ukrainian citizenship and a reward of 10 to 20 thousand dollars."

Serebryakov also said that he received components for IEDs in the Ruzsky district. The explosives were collected under the supervision of a curator.

As reported by EADaily, the Toyota Land Cruiser SUV exploded on July 24 at 6.30 am in the courtyard at Sinyavinskaya street in the north of Moscow. The GRU officer, who was sitting in the driver's seat, (an explosion occurred on his side) had his feet torn off, his wife's face was cut by shrapnel. At first, eyewitnesses helped the victim, then an ambulance took him to the Botkin hospital.

Earlier, the FSB reported that Yevgeny Serebryakov, a suspect in an assassination attempt on a GRU officer, was taken from Turkey, where he fled to hide, to Moscow.

A criminal case has been opened against him under part 3 of Article 30 and part 2 of Article 105 (attempted murder) and part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code Russia (illegal acquisition, transfer, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices).
