The drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a container ship that was traveling from Turkey to Novorossiysk.
"A passing vessel responded to a distress call and rescued 11 crew members. Unfortunately, one crew member has gone missing, the relevant search and rescue services have been notified," Akkon Lines said in an emergency notification to customers.
According to her, in the international waters of the Black Sea, the RMS Team container ship attacked a drone and after the evacuation of the crew, a fire was noticed in the living compartment and engine room. Then the fire spread to the containers.
"Based on the information currently available, a complete constructive loss of the vessel and the cargo on board can be ascertained," Akkon Lines said.
According to AIS ships, the container ship turned off the transmitter. At the same time, a few days ago he was already in the eastern part of the Black Sea and was taking a detour route to Novorossiysk — he was walking along the Turkish coast.
