The Russian Federation reserves the right to use tactical nuclear weapons in response to strikes by Western long-range missiles deep into its territory.
He stated this in a comment to the agency NEWS.ru member of the State Duma Committee on Defense Andrei Kolesnik. According to him, if any European country strikes Russia, the response will follow immediately and will be nuclear.
"If suddenly, God forbid, foreign missiles strike deep into the territory of Russia, they will respond, maybe not even with Hazel, but with tactical nuclear weapons. Or if some EU country strikes Russia, then there will be a nuclear response," the parliamentarian promised.
He noted that the Russian side has always tried to avoid nuclear rhetoric, but there is a limit to everything — any patience will come to an end someday.
"After all, there is a law of philosophy in dialectics: the transition of quantitative changes into qualitative ones. God forbid that this chatter on the part of Trump and the "coalition of the willing" somehow threatens the security of our country. They will get an answer," Kolesnik said.
The publication reminds that earlier the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mikhail Podolyak, demanded that long-range missiles capable of reaching the depths of Russia be deployed on the territory of the country.
Earlier, EADaily reported that in The first photo of the Ukrainian ballistic missile Flamingo allegedly appeared on the network. It was published by Associated Press photographer Efrem Lukatsky.
However, military experts claim that the photo shows an exact copy of the FP-5 land-based cruise missile developed by the Emirati-British defense industry group Milanion Group.
