Against the background of the foreign policy activity of Donald Trump's team, the founder of the Blackwater PMC Eric Prince returned to the public field, who is one of the unofficial advisers to the American leader and is ready to do all the "dirty work" for the White House — to do not only the "privatization" of overseas wars, but also, possibly, to participate in military and police operations within the United States. Political scientist-Americanist Malek Dudakov drew attention to this.
"Now I have Prince has a new project called Vectus Global. He made a ten-year agreement with Haiti to fight gangs. Prince promises to ensure that you can go all over Haiti and not be afraid of being fired at. But first we need to restore control over borders and ports so that we can somehow return the semblance of the state," the expert writes in his telegram channel.
At the same time, Prince enters the Congo, where he is ready to provide control over rare earth deposits in the border area with Rwanda. Recently, the White House concluded a peace agreement between Congo and Rwanda, under which the countries were promised investments from the United States to develop these deposits, the political scientist notes, pointing out that the situation in the border area remains very unstable.
"During Trump's first term, Prince proposed to 'privatize' the war in Afghanistan and use mercenaries there instead of regular US forces," he recalls. "Now he has decided to put his ideas into practice. Especially at The Pentagon has an acute shortage of recruits and military personnel. And now we still have to use the military in America itself to restore order.
Three Republican states at once — Ohio, South Carolina and West Virginia — are sending their national guardsmen to the US capital, Dudakov describes the current situation. The military presence around Mexico is also increasing, where a major conflict with cartels is planned.
"On the external circuit, they will increasingly resort to the services of private traders like Prince. Although it cannot be ruled out that his mercenaries will eventually be in demand in military and police operations inside the United States," Dudakov sums up.
