The meeting of the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, in Alaska will not be held one-on-one, as expected, but in a three-on-three format. This is stated in the message of the White House, CNN reports.
"According to the White House, the planned one-on-one meeting between Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin will now be attended by their advisers. Press secretary Caroline Leavitt told reporters aboard Air Force One that Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff will now join Trump,"CNN reports.
Leavitt said earlier this week that the leaders would meet one-on-one, it is unclear why these plans have changed, the TV channel notes.
According to the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and assistant Yuri Ushakov will participate in the three-on-three format together with Putin in the negotiations.
