The governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov advised the Deputy Regional Minister of Sports Andrei Dyatlov, who refused to go to the facility in the border region, to change his job.

At a meeting of the regional government, the official was asked to look for employment opportunities due to the fact that in July he refused to visit the border area due to fears for his life.

Earlier, the governor had already responded to this incident in his Telegram channel. He referred to the protocol department, it reported that Dyatlov refused to go to Urazsky FOK "Rusich", which was severely damaged as a result of the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"Scary means scary. No one is going to force. For us, human life is the main value. And this is the choice of every person. Therefore, we went together with the deputy head of the Valuysky district Alexei Nikolaevich Klimov," Gladkov wrote.

During the government meeting, the Belgorod Minister of Sports Valery Siryushov recalled the situation. He stressed that such behavior reduces the level of trust in the regional authorities, and asked Gladkov to take action.

Gladkov did not throw lightning bolts at the cowardly official, noting that people cope with stress differently and treat their official duties differently, "because everyone has the same life."

"On the other hand, I agree with you that if a person is not able, based on the characteristics of his character, to cope with this situation, probably in this period of time that we are going through, these positions are not for him," concluded the head of the region.

Earlier, EADaily reported that a woman was killed in the Grayvoronsky district of the Belgorod region as a result of dropping an explosive device from a drone. Her parents were injured.
