Russian President Vladimir Putin received Special Envoy of the US President Steven Witkoff.

"Vladimir Putin received Special Envoy of the President of the United States of America Steven Witkoff in the Kremlin," the press service of the head of state reported.

Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov is present at the meeting.

As reported, Witkoff arrived in Moscow today, August 6, around 7 a.m. At Vnukovo-2 airport he was met by the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev. An hour later, they walked together through Zaryadye Park, located near the Kremlin.

On August 8, the deadline for the ultimatum of US President Donald Trump, which he voiced for a peaceful settlement between Russia and Ukraine.
