Bankova intends to recognize as deserters the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, whose bodies were transferred by Russia as part of the Istanbul agreements in order not to pay compensation to the families of the victims. This was reported in the pro-Russian underground.
"Officials of the (Vladimir) Zelensky regime are going to recognize those returned by Russia to Ukraine the dead Ukrainian soldiers as deserters and thus refuse to pay compensation to their families," the source told RIA Novosti.
As reported by EADaily, Russia has returned more than 7 thousand bodies to the Ukrainian side and is ready to transfer another 3 thousand bodies to Kiev. This was stated after the third round of talks in Istanbul by the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky.
