31-year-old Russian fencer Yana Egoryan won the final of the World Fencing Championships in Tbilisi, becoming a three-time world champion. This is reported by Sport24.
The opponent of the Russian, who performed in a neutral status, was the representative of Poland Zuzanna Ciesliar, who defeated Ukrainian Alina Komashchuk in the semifinals.
"The individual sabre final ended with Yegoryan's victory with a score of 15:11," the newspaper writes.
It is noted that Yegoryan is a two—time Olympic champion of 2016. She won the World Championship for the third time (2015, 2019, 2025).
