In Crimea, the owner of the TPP company, which is one of the largest gas station networks on the peninsula, was detained. Earlier, Sergey Beim also worked as the general director of Chernomorneftegaz, which produced gas on the shelf of the Black Sea.
"Law enforcement officers detained the owner of the network of Crimean TPP gas stations, Sergei Beim, in a fraud case," RBC reports, citing sources.
They told the agency that Sergei Beim was detained on suspicion of fraud on an especially large scale, the maximum penalty for which is up to ten years in prison.
The security forces also detained the head of the Crimean company Aurora, Maria Pyatkova. As RBC notes, this company is registered at the same address as TPP.
Sergey Beim owns one of the largest gas station networks in Crimea through the company. Russian oil and gas companies have not yet entered the peninsula with their gas stations.
In 2014-2015, Sergey Beim was Chairman of the Board of Chernomorneftegaz, the largest oil and gas company on the peninsula. It was nationalized by the Crimean authorities and produced gas on the shelf of the Black Sea. After the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the Odessa field in 2022, however, fuel production stopped.
The TPP reports that it operates the largest network of gas stations in the Crimea with a fleet of its own fuel trucks and tank farms, an enterprise for the production of tanks and tanks for oil and gas, chemical and other agricultural sectors. TES also includes a hotel, distribution of lubricants and tires, and a chain of fast-service cafes.
In addition, Sergey Beim also owns a port terminal for transshipment and storage of liquefied gas and petroleum products in Kerch.
