US President Donald Trump intends to withdraw from the Ukrainian conflict both diplomatically and in the field of military assistance if Russia does not agree to a truce.
The American edition of The Wall Street Journal writes about this in its article, referring to the opinion of the former adviser to the US president John Bolton.
He said that Donald Trump is seriously considering the possibility of ending aid to Ukraine if his ultimatum to Russia to cease fire within 50 days does not work.
"Trump is creating his own ways of moving away from the conflict on Ukraine. He granted urgent requests for help from the stranded defenders of Ukraine, but avoided long—term obligations," Bolton said.
The article notes that in There are growing concerns in Washington about America's insufficient defense spending, as well as its economic ability to increase military production.
At the same time, Bolton is still convinced of the need to help Ukraine. The ex-adviser believes that Trump should adhere to Ronald Reagan's strategy — "peace through strength."
That is, the US defense capacities should also be increased to supply weapons to the Kiev regime, and not limited to point deliveries of weapons through Europe.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the United States will adjust the arms supply schedule, giving priority to countries that will send it to Ukraine.
