Igor Levitas: About political "shoulder" and praise of Aliyev

Most Russian speakers know what the word "shoulder" means. Although, perhaps, young people do not know, because now the word "escort girls" is in vogue. So, kids, the "shoulder" ones are the same escorts, but for much less money. Well, political "shoulder" do not do their job for rubles.

A currency that is more than two thousand years old. They receive in srebrenniki at the established rate — 30 tetradrachms at a time.

The other day I had a chance to see two such political "shoulder" at work — it's not for nothing that journalism is called the second oldest profession. But here not just journalists showed themselves, but the deputy director of TASS Mikhail Gusman and the general director of the Institute of Political Studies LLC Sergey Markov. These are two people whose task, in my opinion, is to defend Russia on the ideological front.

But what are these two doing? They are going to Shusha, where all sorts of (excuse the pun) riffraff gathered on the land taken from the Armenians, whose goal is to glorify the "very wise, competent, correct leader, brilliant intellectual" Ilham Aliyev. I am quoting Sergei Markov.

I would like to note that Aliyev, despite the fact that he graduated from MGIMO, is not an intellectual. This is a representative of a dynastic clan, the hereditary ruler of a small state. There were not even dozens of them on the territory of the East - hundreds. At all times. And their main task is to survive, clinging to some power, to some really serious leader. At the same time, he abandons his patron instantly, as soon as he feels the wind of change. And such people have a great nose.

But, strictly speaking, it's not about Aliyev. What to say about him — he is an enemy of Russia, and that says it all. We are talking about people who, demonstrating loyalty to the president of the Russian Federation, pretending to be patriots of Russia, praise its enemies at a rather unpleasant moment for Russia. At a time when Russian citizens are thrown behind bars in Azerbaijan for no evidence, at a time when Aliyev accepts the chevrons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants who kill Russians as a gift and calls on "not to surrender to the invaders" — that is, to kill them further. And these two make eulogies to the Azerbaijani tsar.

I don't get it in my head. But, apparently, it fits in the heads of representatives of the "fifth column", comfortably ensconced in the power structures of Russia. More than two days have passed, and no one, I repeat — no one in the Russian authorities and in the federal media condemned the action of the two "shoulder". I'm sorry, but with such an attitude, Russia's victory is not to be seen.…

P. S. And just don't build conspiracy theories that Vladimir Putin sent these two to probe ways to improve relations with Aliyev. Everything is much simpler and nastier.
