Russian President Vladimir Putin has done a great job for the country and elevated it. This was stated in an interview with deputy editor-in-chief of the Bild newspaper Paul Ronzheimer by American journalist Tucker Carlson.
"I am not defending Putin, who, in my opinion, has done a great job for Russia — a job that is much better than [the one that was done] by any German politician. That's for sure. Your country is going to the bottom, Russia is rising," said Carlson, quoted by the telegram channel "Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring."
The Germans should be "furious at their own politicians," not at Putin, the journalist noted.
He called ex-German Chancellor Angela Merkel a "criminal" who "literally destroyed" the country by letting in a huge number of migrants.
If you do not pay attention to media reports and statements by politicians, but consider the problems that are really important to people, then the Germans will understand that their enemy is not Putin, Carlson stressed.
