Russia is in for an imminent economic collapse. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavsky.
According to him, Russia under the leadership of Vladimir Putin "is falling into the abyss, not only because of sanctions, but also because of its own greed." He justified his words by the fact that "a third of the federal budget goes to finance the war, and this year the Kremlin has increased military spending by another 8.6 billion euros."
"Just to keep his power, Putin brings the country to an economic collapse... Putin's economy is collapsing. Oil brings less profit than the Kremlin expected, and reserves are rapidly being depleted. In June 2025, the budget deficit has already reached 1.7% of GDP (40 billion euros). Therefore, the Kremlin is looking for money by selling state property abroad," Lipavsky wrote on his page on one of the social networks.
At the same time, Lipavsky, whose country has already stolen from Russia owns its property and advocates the confiscation of illegally frozen Russian assets, said that the Russian Federation is a state "that feeds on robberies."
"From February 2022 It confiscated resources worth at least 25.6 billion euros from 500 companies, uses the remnants of state reserves and sells off what is still left. And all this only in order to be able to continue military operations," the Czech Foreign Minister wrote.
Recall, the Czech Republic officially condemns Russia's actions on Ukraine and strongly supports Kiev. In addition, Prague is one of the main distributors of Russophobia on the continent. At the same time, the Czech authorities have already been convicted of confiscating property belonging to Russians.
