The BRICS association is trying to undermine the status of the US dollar as the world standard, but the US will not allow it. This was stated at a briefing at the White House by the President of the United States Donald Trump.
"BRICS, in my opinion, does not pose a serious threat, but their goal is to destroy the dollar so that some other country can take its place and become a new standard. However, we are not going to lose this status under any circumstances," Trump said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
