The Chinese military used a laser to target a German aircraft. This is stated in a statement by the German Foreign Ministry, in connection with which the Chinese ambassador was summoned to the German Foreign Ministry, TASS reports.

According to the publication, the incident occurred during the Aspides naval mission of the European Union.

"The Chinese military used a laser to target a German aircraft during the EU Aspides mission. Endangering the personnel of the Federal Republic of Germany and interfering with the operation is completely unacceptable. Today, the Chinese ambassador was summoned to the German Foreign Ministry," the German Foreign Ministry informs.
