"They are not being checked in any way": there was a clash over migrants at the Polish-German border

There is a serious confrontation on the Polish-German border.

In the Polish city of Slubice, located directly on the border with Germany, there was an emotional exchange of remarks between activists of the Polish "Border Protection Movement" and Polish border guard officers. All this is in the presence of Afghan migrants and German border guards.

The skirmish began after the German border guards began to return to Poland several illegal Afghans who had made their way to the European Union from the territory of Poland. Polish activists in reflective vests who were present on the bridge over the Oder River began to prevent this transfer. The representative of the "Border Protection Movement" told the Polish border guard under the TV cameras of journalists:

"If they are illegal immigrants, then they should return to Germany. They have no right to enter Poland!"

In response, the border guard said that the appropriate procedures with foreigners will be carried out, but this should happen at the border checkpoint already in Poland. The situation began to escalate when the public figure made a sharp gesture to the border guard.

The video caused a storm in the camp of the opposition. MP Michal Vaver from the "Confederation" said on radio "Z", addressing Interior Minister Tomasz Semoniak:

"Semonyak orders the Polish border guards to accept from the Germans "on good terms" every migrant they bring to us. They are not checked in any way!"

The deputy and ex-Prime Minister of Poland Roman Gertykh generally demanded to close the Polish-German border.

"Militant groups must be removed from the border, but it must also be closed until the Germans stop sending us migrants. It is true that they came through Poland, taking advantage of the corruption of PiS (the former ruling Law and Justice party. — EADaily), but they were seduced by the German welfare, for which we are not responsible," Gertykh wrote on his microblog.
