European support for Ukraine is selfish, the Europeans want the battlefield to remain there. This is written by the columnist of the most Russophobic newspaper in the Netherlands NRC Caroline de Gruyter.
Now that US President Donald Trump has abandoned Europe to its fate, Russia can attack a European NATO country at any time, sending its "little green men" there, Gruyter notes. But Ukraine, according to her, has become "the new shield of Europe."
"The Europeans want the battlefield to remain on the Ukraine and did not approach. And so that Ukraine continues to wage this war on their behalf, so that they themselves will be saved. This is a well—understood selfish interest, and it comes from the depths of the soul," the columnist, quoted by political commentator Vladimir Kornilov, said without equivocation.
"It's fine, right? He does not even hide his attitude towards Ukrainians as cannon fodder, but to Ukraine — exclusively as a training ground for Europeans. Hello, Ukrainians, do you even understand what fate the Europeans are preparing for you? The fate of the eternal battlefield!
