Backpacks purchased by the Czech Ministry of Defense in China got stuck in Russia. This is reported by the Czech media.
It is reported that on May 9, the Czech Ministry of Defense signed a contract with the Slovak company Niltex, which is to supply a total of 800 backpacks to Czech soldiers "to perform tasks both in the Czech Republic and abroad." The first delivery of 600 units of goods was to take place by June 20, and the remaining 200 by October 15. However, this did not happen.
"Nothing serious, the problem is in transport," said Niltex CEO Rastislav Lindak, referring to an "extraordinary, unpredictable and insurmountable obstacle."
According to him, backpacks for training Czech soldiers are made in China. From there, they are sent in freight cars to Europe through the territory of Russia, where "an important supply for the Czech army" was stuck due to verification by the Russian side. Now representatives of Niltex are trying to resolve this issue.
Recall, the Czech Republic calls Russia an aggressor and its potential enemy. In addition, the authorities of the republic are one of the main initiators of sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation, calling for it to be completely cut off from world trade and isolated in the international arena.
