A noticeable deterioration in the weather in Central Russia will begin on Friday, a cyclone will move from west to east, a drop in temperature and rain is expected, the heaviest on Saturday night, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand told RIA Novosti.
"I will not be able to please with the forecast, the information will not be entirely joyful. Air masses are now moving to Central Russia from the northwest, and they will acquire an increasingly northern component," Vilfand said.
According to him, on Thursday night in the center of European Russia it will be 9-11 degrees, in the afternoon — 18-23 degrees, in some places it will rain a little.
"A more noticeable change will begin on Friday. A well—defined cyclone is now south of Moscow, in the Central Chernozem region, and in these regions it will move from west to east," the meteorologist added.
According to him, the most intense precipitation in Moscow and its neighboring regions is expected in the night from Friday to Saturday.
"Daytime temperatures on Friday will be already lower — 16-21, thunderstorms and gusts of up to 15 meters per second are forecast. It will be 11-13 degrees on Saturday night, 15-17 degrees in the afternoon," the forecaster added.
He noted that the temperature at the same time will be only 1-1.5 degrees below normal, and on Sunday a gradual improvement in the weather will begin.
